PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a magnetic tape in a power failured state or the tape is urgently stopped, by pinching the tape only when a solenoid is energized, and minimizing the energizing period of the solenoid. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape pinching mechnism 101 consists of a solenoid 20, spring 21 and a tape pinching arm 23. When the solenoid 20 is activated, the tip of the arm 23 is pressed to a roll 3 to pinch the tape. The working time of the solenoid 20 is limited only to a time during which a vacuum pressure sensor 7 is reset rather than the detecting time of a switch SW2 which serves as an ES detector 8. |
