PURPOSE:To increase the rate of utilization and capacitive density and prolong life under hard charge and discharge by applying the paste of an active material mixture to a conductive porous body, smoothing a paste coating layer through an inter-slit gap, drying it, and pressurizing it until a conductive porous body is stretched through an inter-roller gap where small recesses and protrusions are provided on the surface. CONSTITUTION:A net and an expanded metal are also used as a conductive porous body, but a punching metal is desirable. Its thickness is favorably some 0.09-0.12mm. and its porosity is faborably some 50-60%. Besides, the rate of elongation by pressurization is faborably some 3-20%. Furthermore, since the conductive porius body is pressurized by a roller with rugged surface, it can be pressuirzed even if it is not elongated so much. As a result, the recesses and protrusions improve the adhesion between the active material layer of an electrode and its core material and between the active material layers of both surfaces of the core material and are effective for improvement of the life span. |
