<p>A process for the purification of the factor VIII is disclosed. Said process is characterized, according to the invention, in that it comprises the preliminary step of treating a factor VIII solution to be purified with a small quantity of polyol corresponding to a concentration lower than 4 %, by cooling down to a temperature lower than 15oC, and eliminating of the precipitate obtained.
