The device is used on a conventional milling machine whose milling cutter (0) is brought into position on the component (P) to be cut. This device makes it possible to rotate this component. This rotation drives a jig (G) in translation. The jig slides on a fixed support (H) and imparts, to the component to be cut, movements which are synchronous with its rotation. The result is the cutting of a cam path in accordance with the jig (G). The member which carries the component to be cut and the mechanism for driving the jig may be mounted on the complementary part of the device in two different ways, one allowing the cutting of radial cams, the other the cutting of axial cams. <IMAGE>
