PURPOSE:To prevent defective pressurization and to enable the easy removal of a riser pressurizing mechaism and quick casting in a low-pressure casting device, by disposing freely attachably and detachably a heat insulating cylinder and the riser pressurizing mechanism in the riser part of a metallic mold. CONSTITUTION:Molten metal is charged into a metallic mold 1, and the riser space V in cavity 2 and a riser pressurizing mechanism 9 is filled by the molten metal. A punch 8 is pressurized and lowered to fill the molten metal in the riser space V into the cavity 2 when the molten metal in a gate part 4 and the cavity 2 solidifies and shrinkes upon cooling of the molten metal. When a cylinder 13 is pulled up after the molten metal in the mold 1 ends solidifying, a plate 12 moves along a rod 11 and the punch 8 moves similarly upward until the plate 12 engages with the projection 11a of the rod 11. The mechanism 9 is detached from the riser part 3 if the cylinder 13 is pulled further upward. The dies 1a, 1b are thereafter opened and the cast product is obtd. |
