PURPOSE:To prepare an antibiotic substance, prumycin, by culturing a microbial strain belonging to Bacillus genus. CONSTITUTION:A microbial strain belonging to Bacillus genus and capable of producing prumycin, e.g. Bacillus cereus BMG366-UF5 strain (FERM-P No.6395), is inoculated in a nutrient medium, and cultured under aerobic condition at 25-37 deg.C for 2-5 days. Prumycin can be separated from the culture liquid. |
