PURPOSE:To provide a heat-sensitive transfer medium capable of obtaining a high-density image and transferred images repeatedly, which is constituted of a transfer sheet provided with a transfer layer comprising a leuco dye and a once heat-melted thermofusible substance and a receiving sheet provided with a receiving layer comprising a color developer. CONSTITUTION:The transfer sheet provided with the transfer layer comprising a leuco dye (e.g., crystal violet lactone), a heat-fusible substance (e.g., decylacetamide) and a binder (e.g., PVA) on a base such as a paper and the receiving sheet provided with the receiving layer comprising a color developer (e.g., 4- tert butylphenol) and optionally comprising a heat-fusible substance, a porous pigment (e.g., silica) and a binder on a base are laminated on each other so that the transfer layer and the receiving layer make contact with each other, thereby obtaining the objective heat-sensitive transfer medium. |
