PURPOSE:To increase the transport capacity by forming the screw blade and casing at the lower part of a vertical screw conveyor as increasing its diameters and by improving the filling rate of the screw conveyor with material. CONSTITUTION:A material exit 3 is provided at the side of the casing's upper part while a material intake, at the side of the lower part, and a screw shaft 4 is rotatably supported in the casing 1 through bearings 5, 6. Screw blade 7 is mounted at the periphery of said shaft 4, and a penetrating vane 8 and rotary shaft of a motor 9 are connected with the bottom and top of the shaft 4, respectively. Here the casing 1 and screw blade 7 are at their lower parts formed with increasing taper, and the penetrating vane 8 is dimensioned large accordingly. Thereby the filling rate of screw blade 7 with material can be increased only with a drive force of the same order as in any conventional arrangement. |
