PURPOSE:To enable a visual monitoring safely by emitting a leakage light from a scattering loss light transmitting a visible mirror prism when it is generated near the output end of an optical fiber core. CONSTITUTION:A visual monitor 20 is made up of a housing chamber 21 for housing an optical fiber core 4 being bent near the output end and a visible prism 23 put tightly on the side where a slit 22 exists as provided on the side wall thereof. A scatter loss light generated by bending the optical fiber core 4 is leaked outside the slit 22 and emitted transmitting the prism 23 so that the leakage light 24 can be observed visually. On the other hand, the output end of the optical fiber core 4 is set on a light conduction measuring device 30 comprising a photo detection element 34, an amplifier 35, an indicator 36 and the like. This can lower the characteristic of the laser light thereby enabling a visual monitoring safely while making it usable as light conduction tester. |
