PURPOSE:To manufacture a rod material which makes a beltlike metalling film hard to separate, by covering a metallic hollow core material which the a slit lengthwise with the metallic film and winding its edges into the slit, and then reducing the slit width. CONSTITUTION:While the metallic hollow core material 1 is fed out at a constant speed, the metallic film 2 is also fed out in the same direction to cover the core material 1. Then, both edges 4 and 4 of the film 2 are wound into the slit 3 of the core material 1, which is pressed from both sides to reduce the width of the slit 3. Then, both edges 4 and 4 of the film 2 are clamped in the core material through the slit 3 to complete a rod material product 5. |
