PURPOSE:To execute efficiently as an electronic computer and an electronic typewriter, by using a numerical key placed on the upper stage of a usual typewriter keyboard, and placing concentrically an operation key at one part of the keyboard. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is turned on, a carriage 32, a display device 21, etc. are initialized. Subsequently, a controlling circuit 36 sets the first- the third mode flags corresponding to a designated mode changeover switch. The circuit 36 discriminates whether a key on a keyboard 1 is depressed or not. When a key is not inputted, a mode retrieval is continued. When the key is inputted, the circuit 36 writes its code data in a buffer memory 36a. At the same time, a pattern data corresponding the the depressed key is brought to access from a pattern memory 37b in an ROM 37 and is outputted to a displaying circuit 38. In case when the mode is selected to the second or the third one, the pattern data corresponding to the depressed key is brought to access from the memory 37b, respectively and is outputted to a printing controlling circuit 39. |
