PURPOSE:To increase the flywheel effect of a fluid as the rotational velocity of the fluid increases by a method wherein the fluid having a high specific gravity and sealed into a housing is moved toward the outer periphery of the housing due to a centrifugal force. CONSTITUTION:The bottom surface 3 of the housing 2 makes itself a conical surface expanding upward and a plurality of ribs 4 or grooves are provided radially on the upper part of the bottom surface 3. Further, the high specific gravity fluid 6 such as mercury in a quantity smaller than the capacity of the housing 2 is sealed into the housing. When the housing 2 is rotated, the fluid 6 is given a torque by the ribs 4 or the grooves so that it moves toward the outer periphery of the housing due to a centrifugal force and begins to rotate along the inner wall of the outer periphery of the housing 2. Therefore, it is made possible to vary the flywheel effect of the fluid by changing the number of revolutions of the housing. |
