PURPOSE:To satisfactorily maintain the energization condition between a supporting hanger and material to be coated by using leaf spring materials which have a V-shaped section and edges at side ends to form the supporting pieces of the hanger for the material to be coated, inserting these pieces into the aperture holes of the material to be coated and elastically supporting the material to be coated. CONSTITUTION:The supporting hanger 6 for the material to be coated is constituted of the supporting pieces 61 for the material to be coated, arbors 62 to reinforce and guide the pieces 61, and a connector 63 to connect the pieces 61 and the arbors 62 to a metallic hook 64. The pieces 61 are made of the leaf spring materials each having the V-shaped section and the edges at the side ends A, B. The supporting pieces are formed to the length at which plural pieces of the materials 5 to be coated can be supported at spaced intervals. Such pieces 61 are automatically inserted like skewering into the holes 51 opened to the materials 5 and the prescribed electrodeposition painting is executed. The materials 5 are pulled from the supporting state upon ending of the electrodeposition painting, by which the sliding frictional force is acted between the materials 5 and the edges A, B of the pieces 61 and the paint electrodeposited on the edges A, B is automatically scraped away. The metallic surfaces of the pieces 61 are thereby exposed and the energizing function is restored.
