IGNITION TIMING CONTROLLING APPARATUS FOR AUTOMOTIVE ENGINE

PURPOSE:To enable to use a knocking control apparatus for general purposes, by providing an output section capable of producing a voltage proportional to the intensity of knocking in both of analogue and digital manner. CONSTITUTION:A voltage corresponding to the intensity of vibration of an engine cylinder is produced by a knocking sensor 1 and a voltage proportional to the intensity of knocking is produced by detecting signals having frequencies belonging to a frequency range particular to knocking by means of a filter 2 and counting the knocking signals within a prescribed time period by means of a voltage converting circuit 3. Further, a digital output section 4a converts the output voltage of the voltage converting circuit 3 into a digital signal while an analogue output section 4b produces an analogue signal by converting the level of the output signal of the circuit 3. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to use a knocking control apparatus for general purposes.
