A storage and transport frame for stacks of panes of glass of large dimensions has lowerable feet (28, 29) which are retained in their upper and in their lower position with the aid of locking pins (32). The lowerable feet (28, 29) are brought into the two end positions by pressure cylinders (44). The pressure cylinders (44) are actuated jointly by a lance (49) which is attached to a compressed air line, and the locking pins (32) are actuated likewise jointly by a rod (39). The coupling point (valve 38) for the lance (49) and the point of action for the actuating rod (39) are arranged on the end side of the frame which is accessible in the vehicle from the rear.
