A reading aid for holding reading material and writing materials for handicapped persons with a page turning arrangement as a hanging device or table top device, adjustable for all enforced bodily positions and head positions, with manual operation or electro-automatic control of the page turning process. Vertically adjustable for adaptation to the horizontal visual optics for persons with impaired movement. Use for individually turning the pages of the reading material with automatic control is interchangeable, together with the individual pages of the reading material. Three 6 volt motors at various points in the housing supply the individual movement operations, with the cooperation of a transformer or interchangeable small batteries. The reading aid consists of a support part, which can be folded back, for receiving the reading material and a supporting column with supporting arm, having a utility fastening for chairs and beds.
