In a process for the insertion of an annular body (02) of elastomer material in the gap between the hub body and the rotating ring (01) of an amortizer of torsional vibrations, the ring body is brought to nominal dimensions which are matched to the dimensions of the gap; in this form, the ring body is fixed at a temperature beneath its glass transition temperature, by cooling, so that it is possible to insert it in the gap. On subsequent warming up the ring body attempts to expand and thus forms a force fit on the inner surface of the rotating ring or of the outer surface of the hub body. The cooling can be carried out by dry ice or by liquid nitrogen. <IMAGE> |
