PURPOSE:To manufacture an aluminium alloy chain for outdoor use, by bending an Al alloy wire to oval ring by an automatic bending machine and after engaging and forming with other oval ring, welding the end parts in inert gas atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy 1 wound on a drum 2 is let out and bent to an oval ring 4a of specified size by an automatic bending machine 3. Then, an oval ring 4b different in direction by 90 deg. from the oval ring 4a is formed and engaged with the ring 4a. Engaged oval rings 4a, 4b are sent to an forming machine 5 and engaged oval ring 6 consisting of correct oval rings 6a, 6b is formed. This is sent to a welding section, and end parts of oval rings 6a, 6b are welded by the torch 8 of a welding machine 7 for Ar gas welding, TIG welding etc. Finally, after pressure welding by a cylinder, the chain is colored and coated. Thus, beautiful Al alloy chain for outdoor use high in corrosion resistance is manufactured continuously. |
