PURPOSE:To measure the residual noise of a signal generator without any influence of generated noises of detectors by measuring output voltages of, for example, three detectors having equal detection efficiency and difference voltages of the output voltages. CONSTITUTION:The detectors 4-6 have equal detection efficiency K and the detection output voltages V1-V3 of the detectors due to the residual noise voltage component Vn and their noise components are measured by effective voltage voltmeters 7-9. The differences voltages V4-V6 of those voltages V1-V3 are measured by effective voltage voltmeters 10-12 to decide on the voltage component Vn from equations, taking a measurement of the residual noise of the signal generator without any influence of generated noises of the detectors. |
