Vane-cell pump

A vane-cell vacuum pump is described, the rotor of which, fastened on a journal or a hollow shaft, is mounted in a flying manner in the pump housing. The sliding bearing is arranged eccentrically in relation to the housing central point in a housing cover or in the housing bottom and projects into the pump interior. The rotor has a central recess which extends approximately as far as the longitudinal central region of the rotor and which has such a diameter that the rotor overlaps the bearing with low play. The recess of the rotor extends in this case radially beyond the bottom of the guide slots of the vanes in the rotor. A very compact construction of the vane-cell pump is achieved with correspondingly high suction capacity.
