PURPOSE:To eliminate ground contamination and image disorder by providing non-magnetic and non- conductive minute convex parts on the peripheral surface of a conductive and ferromagnetic counter electrode and providing a means of feeding conductive and magnetic powder toner to the peripheral surface thereof and a means of destaticizing the minute convex parts after having passed the recording part. CONSTITUTION:A hollow cylinder 202 composed of a material having conductivity and ferromagnetism, e.g., Ni, Co or other is fitted to the peripheral surface of the substrate sleeve 201 of a counter electrode 20. Non-conductive and non-magnetic minute convex parts 203-1 ... are provided at an approximately constant density and approximately the same height to the peripheral surface of the cylinder 202. A toner feed roller 60 is desposed below the counter electrode 20 and the toner T in a tank 5 is conveyed to the feed part by the rotation thereof. The excess toner on the peripheral surface is sucked and removed by a magnetic roller 70. A destaticizing charger 90 is disposed in the conveying path from the recording part to the toner feed part to destaticize the minute convex parts 203 after having passed the recording part thereby preventing the deposition of the toner on the convex parts 203 and making the toner having deposited easy to remove. The toner is removed by sliding contact with the magnetic brush or magnetic roller in the feed part, whereby the ground contamination and image disorder are prevented. |
