PURPOSE:To prevent crystalized glass from coming off from a support by a method wherein the support fixing a metal cylinder for an electron gun through crystallized glass is made in a roundish and stepped contruction in its part to be filled with glass. CONSTITUTION:A cathode holder 1 is composed of a support 12 which is formed in framelike shape with 42 Ni-Fe alloy, three pieces of cylindrical bodies 3 made of Fe-Ni-Co alloy and acting as metal cylinders for an electron gun arranged inside thereof and the heat-resisting crystallized glass 4 filled between both of the above. Thereby, the support 12 is made roundish in the part to be filled with crystallized glass 4 while the upper part to be filled with glass 4 is made in a stepped contruction having a smaller diameter. Accordingly, the glass 4 can be uniformly bound tight to increase adhesiveness for checking coming off and falling down, further for relieving deformation bending stress due to welding at welding points at the time of assembly. |
