PURPOSE:To prevent a separating member from deviating in such a direction that it crosses the conveyance direction of a sheet, by extending the separating member in the conveyance direction of the sheet and engaging it with a conveyance member. CONSTITUTION:The separating tape 6 is in sliding contact with a part of transfer roll 2 where the roll is not in rolling contact with a photoreceptor 1; its one end part is fixed and the other end part is stretched through a tension spring 8 to a pin 7 projecting from a copying machine body A to extend in the conveyance direction of copying paper P. A rectangular through hole 9 is perforated in the separating tape 6 at a specific interval from the sliding contact part of the photoreceptor 1 in the carry-out direction of the copying paper p and an auxiliary edge feed roll 13 rolls on an edge feeding roll 12 through the through hole 9. Consequently, the separating tape 6 engages the auxiliary edge feeding roll 13 to regulate the movement in a direction crossing the conveyance direction of the copying paper P. Therefore, the separating tape 6 is prevented from deviating laterally and not applied directly with the rotation driving force of the edge feeding roll 12 as a driving roller, so it neither oscillates nor deviates. |
