Machine for continuously printing cinematographic films, comprising an enclosure 1, an unwinder plate 6 for supporting a spool 7 of unexposed film 9 from which the unexposed film is unwound and penetrates into the enclosure through an opening 14 of the latter, and a locking device 17 for stopping the tail end of the unexposed film in response to a signal emitted by an end-of-spool detector. The unwinder plate 6 is disposed horizontally and it is provided with means 2 for storing spools 7 of unexposed film in the form of a stack of bare spools of unexposed film on the unwinder-plate side, and an automatic loading device 3 which can be actuated in order to load a spool 7 of unexposed film onto the unwinder plate 6 from the said stack of spools in response to the signal emitted by the end-of-spool detector. <IMAGE>
