In this spiral housing, which is subdivided into a lower section and an upper section 1 subdivided along an axial plane, manufactured in the form of a single injection-moulded part in which the lower section together with the upper section forms at least one intake opening fitted with a frame, the upper section 1 is manufactured with at least that part of the frame 2, 3, associated with it in the form of a part which is injection moulded in one single piece and formed from at least two elements connected by a hinge in the form of a tongue 4, and which has reinforcements extending only in a common direction.
