PURPOSE:To reduce the wear of brush fibers, the wear of the surface of a photoreceptor, and filming, and to obtain a safe, inexpensive cleaning device which eliminates the need for a special high-voltage power source, by specifying materials for two brush rolls and a sliding friction member. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning device is provided with fur brush rolls 5 and 5' of insulating fibers successively. The flocking density of the fibers of the rolls is about 2,000 flocks/cm. The roll 5 is slid frictionally on a flicker bar 9 which is made of acryl or ''Teflon'' and has a surface made of Al plated with Ni and orifice baffles to an about 2mm. interference depth to have negative charges on the surface and then slid frictionally on a photosensitive belt 1. The 2nd brush roll 5' made of rayon fibers is slid frictionally on bars 8' and 9' coated with polyacetal to be electrostatic charged positively and then slid frictionally on the belt 1 to remove the remaining toner after the roll 5. The baffles 8 and 8' form slits for friction electrostatic charge and air flow. |
