The invention relates to a heating boiler with a burner, with a hot water boiler arranged at the top in the boiler water space and flooded with boiler water, and with boiler connections for heating delivery and return flow ducts. It is provided according to the invention that the boiler connection for the heating delivery duct is arranged in the top boiler region, and that the sensor of a thermostat, which acts on the operation of the burner and on the boiler water discharge through the heating delivery duct is seated in the boiler. The advantage derived from this is that in boilers of the kind mentioned at the beginning, with so-called gravity boilers, the advantages of a priority circuit can be utilised.
