The apparatus has a user input. Means are provided for communicating between the first and activated input 50, 60, and is operable either as a video game or as surface projectile game. A first system selectively operates the apparatus as a video game, and a second system selectively operates the game system as a surface projectile game. Control means provides stimuli to these systems in response to user activated input. Means are provided for communicating between the first and second systems and the control means.
