A process and a device are described for elimination of radioiodine from a liquid, in particular urine, the radioiodine-containing liquid being passed through a ribbon-shaped filter cloth in a reaction vessel, which cloth is coated with a reaction substance which reacts with the radioiodine and accumulates this. The filter cloth in this case is directed through the reaction vessel at a speed dependent on the flowrate of the liquid passed through, so that the reaction substance of the filter cloth coating only remains in the liquid stream to be cleaned for a predetermined period of time. |
