A bivalence heat exchanger (2) is integrated into the service water heat pump module (A). A circulating pump (3) forwards the boiler water out of the intake suction pipe (4) of the boiler (B), through the condenser (1) of the heat pump, through the following bivalence heat exchanger (2), and through the inflow pipe (4) back into the boiler (B). The heating of the boiler water takes place either by the condenser (1) (when the heat pump is in operation) or by means of the bivalence heat exchanger (2), which can be acted on by a charge pump (5) of the boiler plant, solar plant, etc on the primary side. Control takes place by means of a boiler thermostat (6). <IMAGE>
