PURPOSE:To decrease the thickness of a clock, by embedding a clock movement in a transparent front cover. CONSTITUTION:The front cover 11 has a flange 11 projecting to the rear side at its circumferential edge part and is fitted in the circular hole of a rectangular outer circumferential frame 12. A dial 13 is arranged at a slight interval to the rear side of the front cover 11 and fitted to the outer circumferential frame 12 with a screw 14 at the circumferential edge part. An engaged recessed part 11b is formed in the center of the front cover 11 and the clock movement 15 is embedded therein. Thus, the overall thickness T2 of the clock is the sum of the thickness a' of the front cover 11, facing height b', and the thickness c' of the dial 13 and the overall thickness of only the movement 15 is reduced. Therefore, the thin clock is obtained. |
