PURPOSE:To localize a fault part, and to improve the availability of a large scale on-line system, by executing a blockage by a block unit. CONSTITUTION:An exclusive control processor 10 is channel-connected to a processor 100. In case of executing an access to a block for constituting a shared file between plural processors being on a disk device, it is necessary to obtain the approval of an access against the exclusive control processor 110. Accordingly, after receiving an access approval from the processor 110, a block on a disk device 130 can be brought to an access. The processor 100 returns the right of access to the exclusive control processor 110 at the time point when the access is ended. In such case, when an error is generated in the block to be brought to an access, or a file containing its block is recovered, a request for a block blackage or a file blockage is outputted to the exclusive control processor 110, and an access from others is eliminated.
