PURPOSE:To retrieve desired information automatically by converting the address number for retrieving the information into a code mark, detecting the code mark by a detecting means, and reading the address number of the address mark. CONSTITUTION:The microfilm F in a cartridge is fed out by a feed roll 11, sent to a take-up reel 10 between guide plates 3 and a couple of glass plates 6 and 7 through take-up reel 10 to wind the film around the reel. The address number for retrieving starting or ending information on the microfilm F is recorded in the form of the code mark on the same column with the retrieval mark of the microfilm F. The detecting means which detects the retrieval mark detects the code mark to read the address number of the code mark, retrieving the desired information automatically. |
