PURPOSE:To ensure the lowering of wick to a predetermined position even when the wick is deposited with a tar, by providing a mechanism for manually lowering the wick. CONSTITUTION:In such a case that the upper end of wick 5 becomes thick due to the deposit of tar thereon, and cannot be lowered merely with the pressing forces of spring 34 to a predetermined position in an extinguishing operation, a manual lever 27 is turned manually. This manipulation of manual lever 27 causes the bent piece 27a of manual lever 27 to abut with a pin 26 for applying a manipulation shaft 15 the manual forces plus the resilient forces of spring 15. Thus, it is made possible to positively lower the wick 5 to its predetermined position. |
