PURPOSE:To supply molten metal uniformly into a mold even if an immersion nozzle is deviated by twin casting or the like by disposing a piece of the immersion nozzle having plural asymmetrical discharge holes in one mold with deviation from the center in the transverse direction of the mold. CONSTITUTION:Two pieces of immersion nozzles 2' having asymmetrical three discharge holes 2'a are mounted on the bottom wall of a tundish 3. Each of the nozzles is disposed with deviation from the center in each transverse direction of the two molds of a mold 1 so as to approach a middle partition member 4. More specifically, the spacings l1 and l2 between a pair of short side members 1a of each mold and the nozzles 2' are l1>l2. The one hole 2'a is disposed in parallel with the transverse direction of the mold and in opposition to the members 4. If molten metal is discharged through the holes 2'a, the molten metal is supplied through respectively one and two holes 2'a into the narrow and wide parts B, C between the nozzles and the members 4; therefore, the molten metal is supplied substantially uniformly in the mold. |
