PURPOSE:To obtain a starter of a wound-rotor type motor which protects a resistor by detecting the defect of a motor for driving a cam type starter by the closed state of a cam type starter contact of the first notch. CONSTITUTION:When an ON-operation contact 2 is closed, a main switch relay coil 1 is energized, and a wound-rotor type motor 4 is started. In this case, a normal rotation contact relay coil 8 is energized, a motor for driving a cam type starter is normally rotated, and cam type starter contacts 7a-7d of the first - fourth notches are sequentially closed. At this time, a limit switch auxiliary contact 7A' opened when the drive motor is not driven but the cam type starter contact 7a of the first notch is closed, remains closed. Then, a timer relay coil 11' opens a time limit contact 11b after the lapse of the prescribed period, thereby demagnetizing the main switch relay coil 1. |
