PURPOSE:To prevent an excessive increase of fuel injection quantity, by limiting a change of the fuel injection quantity in the increasing direction during the time an output of an air fuel ratio sensor is initially changed from a lean signal to an overrich signal after finish of a fuel cut. CONSTITUTION:After the end of a fuel cut, a flag B becomes ''1''. An output of an air fuel ratio sensor initially changing from a lean signal to an over rich signal is detected in a step 71, and the flag B is set to ''0'' at detection in a step 74. That is, during the time the output of the air fuel ratio sensor initially changes from a lean signal to an overrich signal after the end of the fuel cut, the flag B is set to ''1''. During the time with the flag B in ''1'', a change of fuel injection quantity in the increasing direction is limited by limiting FBP being an integrated value of the output of the air fuel ratio sensor. |
