PURPOSE:To prevent infiltration of ink into a coil by having a string-like wire hanging securely intermediately between impact wires for striking an ink ribbon in a printhead for wire dot printer. CONSTITUTION:With the excitation of a coil 4, a plunger 3 is attracted in the convergent direction of an impact wire 2 to operate the impact wire 2 acting together therewith so that it will strike the surface of a print medium through a ribbon 1 to effect printing. Here, a slight amount of ink is attached to the wire 2 being reduced instantaneously at the tip of the impact wire 2. As the frequency of striking increases, it forms particles gradually and transferred to the coil 4 via a wire guide 8 with an aid of effect of heat generated by the print head. But checked with a string-like wire 9 fastened on the wire 2, it goes down along the string-like wire 9 and accumulated on the bottom of the wire guide 8 thereby preventing the infiltration thereof into the coil 4. |
