PURPOSE:To completely preclude an accident such as the flawing of a photosensitive body by arranging a cleaning member in an electrically insulated state, forming its part which contacts a photosensitive material by using a conductive material and connecting a current value detecting means to the conductive part. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning member 21 is arranged while insulated electrically and at least the part which contacts the photosensitive body 1 is formed of the conductive material; and the current value detecting means 23 is connected to the conductive part, so a current having a constant value flows from the photosensitive body 1 to the cleaning member 21 and is detected by the current detecting means 23. If transfer paper jams and is caught between the photosensitive body 1 and cleaning means 21, the current value detected by the detecting means 23 decreases. The device is therefore prevented from being restarted while the transfer paper 10 is left in the cleaning device 13. Consequently, such an accident that the photosensitive body 1 flaws is completely eliminated. |
