PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of error correction and to realize centralized processing, by converting the code array of a coding signal to a new code array so that the coding signal is distributed at random and uniformly without biasing, and thereafter, transmitting and storing it. CONSTITUTION:A random error correction code DP is formed. Before transmitting and storing, a coding signal A is converted into a coding signal B, where the code array of a block of the correction code DP in a code sequence block is distributed at random and uniformly without biasing so that it becomes a new code, to be transmitted or stored. Therefore, if a burst error occurs in a certain section Q as shown in a coding signal C in the middle of transmission or storing, the reverse array conversion is performed so that the code array returns to the original state when being received or reproduced. As a result, the burst error is distributed uniformly and converted to an error just like a random error. |
