PURPOSE:To reduce transport power and decrease the cost of equipment by separating a pure liquid in the middle of a transport path for pressure-feeding a slurry of lump coal to heighten the slurry density, and pressurizing the pure liquid to be used as a part of transport power. CONSTITUTION:A slurry pump 2 is adapted to supply a slurry of lump coal in a slurry tank 3 to supply pipes 1a-1c according to a time schedule. A driving liquid pump 5 is adapted to supply a driving liquid in a tank 6 to the supply pipes 1a-1c to transport a slurry. When the slurry filled in the supply pipes 1a-1c is fed by pressure to a transport pipe 4 by the driving liquid, only the pure liquid mixed in the slurry is separated and pressurized by a booster pump 10 to be supplied from a return pipe 9 to the discharge side of the pump 5. Accordingly, the power to be loaded by the pump 5 is considerably decreased, and the slurry can be transported in such a manner that the slurry density in the transport pipe 4 is equal or higher than the transport density of a low-pressure slurry pump 2. |
