The invention relates to a device for notching cylindrical workpieces and can be used for the production in large numbers of notched standard parts without a stepped diameter, such as, for example, grooved pins. The aim of the invention is to create a device which achieves the complete processing, particularly of grooved pins, i.e. cutting-off from the starting material and notching, on one machine. The solution according to the invention consists in the creation of a notching device. To produce the notches, notching rollers with a wedge-shaped profile are arranged around the cross-section of the workpiece, the rollers being advanced towards the workpiece in the manner of a crank via their mounting and making a rolled impression in the latter. Each notching roller is mounted on a coupling disc which connects the two-part bearing shaft positively in the manner of an Oldham coupling. The bearing shafts can be adjusted axially parallel to one another to achieve an alteration in the diameter of the circular translation of the mounting of the notching rollers, it thereby being possible to produce different notch shapes. <IMAGE>
