Parallax-free slide calliper

The slide calliper for reading out a set measured value in a parallax-free fashion is characterised by a rod (2) with a scale and whose front side is provided with a flat longitudinal groove having two side faces (14) located opposite one another at an oblique angle in each case and inclined outwards. The vernier surfaces (16) of the calliper (3) are located in a direct, virtually tolerance-free extension of the inclined side faces (14). The inclined faces are produced in one operation by a profile grinding disc. The scale and the numerical values are introduced by engraving with the aid of a laser beam. The rearside of the rod (2) and of the strip for measuring depth have functionally arranged technical data in tabular form on the basis of which parameters can be read off when two of three pieces of data are known. <IMAGE>
