PURPOSE:To provide economic and uniform cooling of a bearing by a method wherein a steam pipe is connected to a single radiator device from each of both main shafts having a hollow chamber between a bearing with work liquid enclosed therein and a bearing block, and a liquid pipe is communicated with each of the main shafts from the radiator device. CONSTITUTION:When a bearing block 4 shows a higher increased temperature than that of another block 41, the work liquid in a hollow chamber 7 of the block 4 shows a higher amount of steam, steam pressure and temperature than those of liquid in the block 41 in case of evaporation, so that an evaporation latent heat corresponding to those values is taken to perform more cooling and the temperature of the block 4 is prevented from being increased than that of the other block. The hot steam evaporated in the hollow chamber 7 passes through a steam pipe 10 to a radiator 8, and in turn the cold steam evaporated in the hollow chamber 71 passes through a steam pipe 101 and moves to the radiator 8, then is condensed and liquefied. In the radiator 8, the hot and cold condensed and liquefied work liquids are mixed and uniformalized, returned back to the hollow chambers 7 and 71 through the liquid pipes 12 and 121, so that the increased temperature of the block 41 is decreased, the increased temperature of the block 41 is further increased and a difference in the increased temperatures is restricted low. |
