Lamp unit for selective attachment to a mast or to a mast beam with through holes for the mast end of for the end of the mast beam fitted with an attachment element which can be arranged in different positions according to the attachment method. The attachment element (6) serves as a closure section for the hole (3, 4) not being used and positions itself on the lamp unit housing with the aid of only one attachment screw with simultaneously the lamp being positioned on the mast (11) or on the mast beam (5).
