PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording material characterized by an excellent color forming property at high-speed recording, no texture fogging, and a stable image, by providing a heat-sensitive color-forming layer comprising a specified fluoran compound and a phenolic material on a support. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive color-forming layer comprises (A) a fluoran compound shown by the formula I (wherein R1 is C5-8 alkyl; R2 is C1-8 alkyl; R3 is C1-2 alkyl; and n is 0.1), e.g. 3-(N-isoamyl-N-ethylamino)-6-methyl-7-anilinofluoran, (B) a phenolic material, i.e. bis(3,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxylphenyl) sulfide shown by formula II, a binder such as PVA as required, and an auxiliary additive such as calcium carbonate, silica, or alumina. The color-forming layer is provided on a support such as paper to obtain an intended heat-sensitive recording material. |
