PURPOSE:To self-diagnose a master station easily, by performing the communication with each slave station only in an allocated time and performing the functional test of the master station depending on the allocated time, in the 1:N transmission system where data are transmitted and received sequentially among one master station and N-set of slave stations. CONSTITUTION:The master station 1 performs communication with slave stations 2-1-2-N in the way of time division via connectors 10-1-10-N and cable connectors 11-1-11-N. The master station is provided with processors 3 and 6, a program memory 4, a data memory 5, and transmission control circuits 8-1- 8-N. The test connectors are used for the self-diagnosis of the master station. When a failure is detected for the transmission with the slave station 2-2, the test connector is connected in place of the cable connector 11-2. The processor 3 recognizes the connection of the test connector at the communication time with the slave station 2-2 and tests the folding test of itself. |
