PURPOSE:To correct mis-convergence specific to a color flat cathode ray tube, by providing a coil generating an auxiliary magnetic field of opposite direction at left and right side of a screen in the direction coincident with the tube axis before and after a location where three electron beams of an electron gun are crossed. CONSTITUTION:The color flat cathode ray tube has a fluorescent screen 4, a shadow mask 9, a back side electrode 8, and upper and lower side vertical deflecting electrodes 5, 6. Further, cathodes 10A-10C generating red, green and blue electron beams, and the 1st-the 5th grids G1-G5 are provided, and a central convergence electrode 2, an outer convergence electrode 3 and a rotation coil 11 for the correction of convergence are provided. The rotation coil 11 generates the correction magnetic field in opposite direction at the left and right side of the screen, allowing to correct mis-convergence. |
