PURPOSE:To generate large fluctuating stress during change of shape of heat operated element by using a disk shaped element made of shape memorizing alloy. CONSTITUTION:When valve chamber 4 temperature falls to a specific level, element 71 makes martensite transformation from the original to martensite form, making small curvature. Accordingly valve 11 is pressed by pressure of the liquid on inlet port 2 side and moves away from valve seat 15 opening the valve 5. Liquid flows from inlet port 2, through valve opening 5 into valve chamber 4 and flows out of exit port 3. During this time, the temperatur of the liquid rises. When the temperature reaches a specific level, element 71 changes its shape in the reverse way to the original making great curvature. This drives valve 11 onto valve seat 15, closing valve 5. |
