OPTICAL SPACE PROPAGATION NETWORK SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE:To facilitate the maintenance and inspection of a titled network system, by setting an optical transmitting/receiving device at a low position in a room to perform communication to a data terminal within the room through space propagation and with a connection with a wire network provided within a building. CONSTITUTION:An optical transmitting/receiving device 11 connected with a wire network set in the ceiling is provided at a depressed area of the wall or at the place near a floor 3 in a room 1. An optical fiber 12 is led out of the device 11 to a ceiling 4, and the termination of the fiber 12 is used as an input/output port 13 of an optical signal. Thus the device 11 transmits and receives the information through the space propagation light to a data terminal 8 via the port 13. This system facilitates the maintenance and inspection of the device and then improves the system reliability.
